Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
Back when Firefly came out I kinda sniffed at the show, thinking it was a Cowboy Bebop rip off. I was kinda right, but the show was still awesome. Now, Joss' new internet show (with some familiar faces) feels a lot to me, in name only at least, like an old Steven Coogan series, Dr. Terrible's House of Horrible. Probably no connection, right?
On a related note, if you haven't seen any of Steve Coogan's amazingly funny shows, you're really missing out. Who am I kidding? You guys will just wait for the U.S. remakes.

The mighty and all powerful Joss has never been coy or quiet about his inspirations and his asperations for his version of said inspirations.
Some would call it riffing off of?
Some would even say he is taking what your idol Kanye does to the next level. And by that I mean stealing ... sampling stuff and making it his own.
Yikes, you know people who wait for U.S. remakes? If I find out about a show overseas, I try to get to it BEFORE it's remade. I swore off the U.S. Office for a good year or so before friends, who have the same interests as I do, gave in and then convinced me otherwise.
I love these guys, but getting them to watch Spaced is like pulling teeth. Good thing the McG version got canned. Thanks for visiting the site, BTW, Gina!
The first time I saw Cowboy Bebop I thought to myself, "This is certainly not derivative of anything."
