Machine Construction, Day 3

We're starting to get something that looks like something.  It's a little heavy on top, but I'm happy with the proportions.  Hose sacrificed his body to get this far, I hope his back feels better tomorrow!

Looking good. Don't go losing any fingers. It would suck to build a MAME cabinet then be unable to play it.

Slick. What kind of wood/composite?

That is MDF or Medium-Density Fiberboard, which seems to be the most popular choice of materials for this sort of thing.

Meh, back is ok now. If my gut wasn't so big it wouldn't have been a problem. Somewhat ironically I watched Sicko the night before. One of the first stories was a guy who cut his fingertips off with a table saw. Seeing stuff like that makes me want to get this saw:

We can thin the top a little if you want. It does look a little head-heavy.

I would say take two inches off the top, but I already have my marquee. Should have held off a couple days.
