There's blood on the floor!

Remember Crush from American Gladiator? She is an MMA fighter as well. The family is watching the saturday night prime time net work TV debut of the Elite XC. Now here is the best part. Her main sponsor is Red Alert Command & Conquer 3. Her intro music is from the game. And last but not least she is in the game!

We made the kids go to bed because she just broke her foes face. In half.

This stuff is a little rough to watch.

Lexicon

Here's an interesting RPG where the players play scholars writing an encyclopedia of an imaginary world or time.  The rules are only about a half page of text, so check it out.  I can't say exactly what it is about RPG rules that please me so much, but I just can't get enough of this stuff.

Bitstrips Kingmaker

Bitstrips, an neat little online program that lets you create a comic strip, is in beta. I've started the original Kingmaker scene. Help me finish the dialog by signing up for an account and adding me as a friend.

Bob Uecker at the Furry Convention

I've taken to listening to Brewers games on the way home so I heard this live last year. I didn't mention it at the time because I couldn't do it justice. Here it is in all it's glory: Bob Uecker describing the furry convention at his hotel in Pittsburgh in between pitches.

Memorial Day Tomorrow

Tomorrow is a day for saying thanks to those veterans who never made it back, so today I figure is a good day for those still out in the thick of it. This "photo essay" made it onto Fox news but with very little explination. I found out about it backwards, when someone with knowledge of the event was explaining before I had even seen the photos.
May 18, 2008: U.S. Marine Sgt. William O. Bee from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit in a firefight with the Taliban near Garmser in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. The Marine was uninjured in the exchange.

You don't see many USMC fighting in just T-shirts. The deal was this kid and a bunch of others were lying in bed with injuries at a US Naval Aid Station, when the Taliban attacked. The doc turned to order the kids to stay in bed, but they were already all gone...along with a few of the Navy Nurses. They grabbed up what arms they could (very limited arms and ammo) and repelled the attack. The Marine pictured here was in aid station for having broke multiple ribs just days before. The source of this info adds

"All of the Marines involved are fine, and all have been put in for commendation.

All of the Taliban won the "hole in the ground" award."

New Daedelus Video

My friend Alfred has a new video. It's for a song called "Make it So" form his forthcoming record Love to Make Music To.
