Check out Soul Eater if you haven't already.
My boys got me hooked on Soul Eater via NetFlix. I was doing that parenting thing where you check in with what the kids are doing these days and employ some choice architecture for a subtle course correction. Now we (I) can't stop watching it. It has some of the best bad guys since The Last Air-Bender. It goes from silly to serious; episodic to periods where nothing happens. It tackles adult themes with corny teen-age titles... They swear a bit and work for Lord Death, but that is okay because it is a new Lord Death.

I haven't looked at this yet, but I've been watching Fullmetal Alchemist with the wife in the room and she hasn't walked out. And she's super into the new Dr. Who.
