A single play of Dwarf Fortress (thanks AVK) had me thinking back to 1985, when I first ran across the Adventure Construction Set. WoW has nothing on it as a time sink. Anyone else get started with this game? If not, what was your first gaming addiction?

I loved ACS to death. Very fond memories. Probably up there with Ultima 4/5 and Wings of Fury for games I loved the most for my Apple //e.
PnP Battletech.
Kinda puts all of my recent Valkyria Chronicles hours into perspective.
