The darkness doesn't bother me so much as the movie just turns into a podding snoozefest. I fast forwarded large chunks of the middle. For the record, I can normally handle a plodding movie without tons of action. I watched "Atanarjaut, the fast runner' a 3 hour long movie with zero fast forwarding

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0285441/andrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01356901138260502070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7121288620458912737.post-44469480500772228842008-05-25T17:56:00.000-05:002008-05-25T17:56:00.000-05:00The Proposition is great for its unrelenting darkn...The Proposition is great for its unrelenting darkness, I'd say. It's not great at delivering the things you expect from a Western -- and that's part of why I like it. It's part of a long tradition of Australian revisionism, which I never cease to appreciate.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07596738392616233487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7121288620458912737.post-41474057439841612102008-05-25T14:54:00.000-05:002008-05-25T14:54:00.000-05:00Oh bother, now I have to make sure to read that bo...Oh bother, now I have to make sure to read that book before I see the movie, it is one I have been meaning to get around to in a while.

Regarding "The Proposition" when I saw the aboriginie atl-atl a cowboy, and then the cowboy retaliate, I knew I had to see the movie.

I don't think I would use the term great for that movie though. I was all right. Ray Winstone did an EXCELLENT acting job in it.

Funny tie ins, just next to this post, Tim brings up Narnia 2, Ray Winstone was Mr Beaver in Narnia 1.
Also Ray Winstone was Indy's corrupt buddy in Indy 4.

Ray Winstone is clearly our desinty...andrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01356901138260502070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7121288620458912737.post-37265781229189067522008-05-20T23:38:00.000-05:002008-05-20T23:38:00.000-05:00I'm totally growing a beard like that after the ap...I'm totally growing a beard like that after the apocalypse.avkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17891345807269928765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7121288620458912737.post-52390806593940030052008-05-20T23:32:00.000-05:002008-05-20T23:32:00.000-05:00...and so the guy with the Rick Hunter avatar was ......and so the guy with the Rick Hunter avatar was preyed upon.avkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17891345807269928765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7121288620458912737.post-85970745819560689552008-05-19T18:33:00.000-05:002008-05-19T18:33:00.000-05:00Hell of a picture.(at the risk of ruining it he lo...Hell of a picture.

(at the risk of ruining it he looks like the late master Heston)w1ndst0rmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14244208337828754951noreply@blogger.com
