You Had Me At Hex Grid
Civ with hexes? Sweet mother of God, yes! Between the Starcraft 2 and Civ 5 this fall... wow.
After 20 years, the placement of cities for most efficient use the 2-square radius has become autonomic. I am fairly sure I could continue to maximize land space in the absence of my cerebrum.
The glimmer of Hex on the horizon makes me tremble with both joy and trepidation.
